Do You have an Entrepreneurial Support System?

Do you know the real reason why you’re not succeeding in your business? First, I want to ask you a few questions.

1 – Have you ever switched strategies because you were lacking clarity? How many times?
2 – Have you ever stopped showing up online for a week because you felt demotivated, and lost consistency?
3 – What about making a business decision that wasn’t aligned with your brand because of judgment from other people who aren’t entrepreneurs?

If you said yes to any one of those questions, it’s probably a sign that you do not have the right support in place. By support, I don’t mean your family or your non-entrepreneurial friends, but rather people who know the journey, the struggles, the strategies, and can help support you in the right way.

They will never judge you. They will only offer full support and full belief in your capabilities to achieve your goals. We’ve all had those family members who didn’t believe in what we were doing, who always had opinions, and a lot of unsolicited advice. It made you feel icky about who you are and what you’re trying to achieve.

What you need to do is search for real support; the entrepreneurial support. I’m not saying blow off your family members because they don’t understand. No no no. I’m saying if you’re relying on support to make business decisions, get the right support.

My story

Right now, I feel like I am a resilient entrepreneur. I’ve struggled with a lot of things. I’ve always pushed through, but I didn’t use to be like that.

At the beginning of my journey, I did not get the right support and I struggled a lot. A lot. I first started with a fashion blog. Then it transitioned to a fitness blog, turned health blog. Then I became a lifestyle blogger.

I started my blog because I felt this need to create. Can you tell that I was *a little* multi-passionate? I really believed in myself until that moment another opportunity came along.

I had to worry about graduating from college, getting my first job, and practicing interviews. I hadn’t had my blog for a couple of months, but I was never really serious about.

My passions kept changing. I still had that creativity and I felt like my life was finally in balance. So, I started another blog, and another, and another.

I never realized that I can incorporate all facets of my creativity under one blog, one brand. If only I had the proper entrepreneurial support from the beginning. I could have saved myself so much wasted time trying to find my true calling.

It wasn’t until I started a blog about blogging, that I knew this was something I wanted to stick with. I had an idea of becoming a consultant and helping other bloggers with their blogs, but I wasn’t really sure what I was going to do and how to do it.

How I found my entrepreneurial support

Then, I met a coach on Instagram which is where my whole life changed. I got on a call with her and I instantly thought, ‘oh my God, the first person ever to understand what I’m going through!’ Someone who also had this other passion that was not her 9-5. Someone who also wanted to do something more real with her life, rather than go to a job that had no purpose, no meaning.

I immediately enrolled in her group program, filled with other entrepreneurs who were all going through the same thing. This was a new world for me. I knew the blogger world, not the entrepreneur world.

I was so free and happy in that program. Having people around me that supported me was just amazing. I knew this is where I wanted to be, but I was a little unsure on how to make it all work.

I understood the marketing aspect, creating a social media presence, and building an audience (among other things). But knowing what clientele I wanted to work with? That’s a different story.

The outcome of having support

It wasn’t until I got my own business coach, that one-on-one entrepreneurial support that I knew exactly who I wanted to work with. She took all of my ideas and gave me clarity. She provided me the ability to rid myself of self-doubt. She gave me a roadmap and told me I needed to follow it.

My support truly believed in me and my capabilities as a fellow business coach. I tried things I would have never found the courage to do on my own. My limiting beliefs? Gone. Negative thoughts? Banished.

Now I have the right system in place with my coach and fellow entrepreneurs. I’m not influenced by my family anymore. I’m not influenced by my friends anymore. And I’m not influenced by complete strangers anymore.

I have all the clarity I need because I always have someone to talk to when I don’t feel certain in my decisions. If I don’t show up consistently, she’ll see it and she’ll call me out. I have the accountability I need.

So, those 3 questions I asked you earlier? I answered yes to all of them before I found my support

I can confidently say that every single answer to those questions TODAY is a resounding NO! All thanks to my amazing entrepreneurial support.
